He is no doubt one of the best players to have played the game and not winning a World Cup is somewhat a little chink in his great armour. Dybala is another star player that Argentina will be counting on very heavily to take them forward in this tournament. He has shown at every level that he is a superstar and now he has a chance to make his case even stronger by putting in some amazing performances in the World Cup where billions of people will be watching.
Angel Di Maria -
Angel Di Maria is another legend who has been a true champion of the game both at the club and country level. He has also won almost all the trophies one can think of. He is a fantastic winger. Some even say he is not given the true recognition he deserves and the contribution he makes. He can dribble the ball brilliantly, pass the ball into the box and create some amazing chances and he can shoot and score from a distance. He is a brilliant attacking player.
Joaquin Correa -
Nicknamed ‘El Tussu’, Correa plays for Inter Milan as he is on a loan from Lazio. He is a good attacking striker and he will be looking to show his class and stamp his authority by playing well in this World Cup.
Christian Romero -
Christian Romero will be the leader of Argentina’s defence in this World Cup. He is just 23 years of age but he certainly is in line to become a great defender. This is why Tottenham Hotspur paid big money to sign the 23-year-old defender. He is still recovering from an injury but he will certainly be fit, fine, and running before the World Cup begins and he will certainly be a very important player for Argentina in this World Cup.
Lautaro Martinez -
Lautaro Martinez has become a key player for Inter Milan in a very short span of time. He is just 24 but he already has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders and it is commendable how he comes through every time for Inter. With Argentina, he will have Messi, Di Maria & Dybala handling all the pressure and responsibility and if he can somehow gel well with this already very potent attack, Argentina will be a force to be reckoned with in this World Cup.
Emiliano Martinez -
Emiliano Martinez became a superstar for Argentina after his amazing performances as a goalkeeper for Argentina in Copa America. He had a very big hand in Messi finally winning his first silverware for his country. And he has improved drastically ever since. He has been putting in good performances for Aston Villa in the premier league as well. He will be looking to replicate the same performances in the World Cup as well.
Giovani Lo Celso -
Lo Celso is a brilliant midfielder who has been playing pretty well recently for Tottenham Hotspur. Argentina’s weakness in this World Cup might be its mid-field and Lo Celso has to make sure that is not the case. He has a lot of experience of playing at the top-most level and he will be looking to make a difference and help Argentina win the World Cup.

Paredes is a brilliant defensive midfielder who is a regular starter for French giants PSG. This will be his first World Cup and he is in line to become one of the best defensive midfielders of the modern age and if he can shine in the World Cup, Argentina will go a long way if he can control the centre of the field to the best of his potential.
Rodrigo De Paul -
Rodrigo is another brilliant midfielder that Argentina will be looking towards in the World Cup. He has already shown how good a player he is with his performances for Athletico Madrid, helping them clinch the La Liga title last season. Now, if he can help Messi & Argentina win the world cup, he will certainly have a season to remember for a lifetime.
