Manchester City is one of the wealthiest teams in the footballing world when it comes to spending money and buying players to bolster their ranks. This is why they have a squad that is filled with World-class talent. One of the key things to remember about Manchester City is that they have world-class backups for every position they need. Manchester City has Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling as their front three. They have other attacking options too in the form of Bernado Silva, Ilkay Gundogan who are all proven, world-class players. They have Ferran Torres who is still young but ever since he joined them a couple of seasons, he has just been terrific and has been growing into a World Class player if he already isn't. All of these players have played and performed so well into the past that even without a proper no 9 striker, they are as confident about their attack as one could be with a normal world-class striker. On the midfield front - Manchester City has Kevin De Bruyne. According to most pundits in world football, Kevin is the best midfielder in the world right now. He can make some outstanding long passes, make some very amazing short ball box passes, he can cross the ball beautifully, he can take freekicks and find the net, and boy he can shoot the ball from anywhere on the field and he can score. He is the perfect example of a perfect midfielder. Manchester City also has Phil Foden - who is considered to be one of the biggest prospects in world football right now. You know that the boy has something. Right? Manchester City also has Rodri who is another outstanding player. He plays the role of holding midfielder and he plays it as well as anyone can. They have the backup option of Fernandinho too. And when you have Fernandinho as your backup CDM, it portrays the serious depth of their squad.
On the defensive front, they have one of the most solid and compact defenses in the world. We can even go on to the extent of saying that Manchester City has the best defense in the entire world of football right now. They have Ruben Dias and John Stones at the center back positions. When these two combine, you cannot score. It’s that simple.
At the right-back position they have the very talented Kyle Walker and at the left-back position, they have Zinchenko who is another outstanding player and workhorse of the team. They also have good back options in the form of Nathan Ake, Joao Cancelo just to name a few.
